Sarah Toppins has been working full time in real estate for more than 22 years, all with Long and Foster, the number one company in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. She came to real estate after careers in broadcast journalism (in Alabama, Florida, & Virginia) and as a college journalism professor (at the University of Illinois & American University), so she brings superior skills in gathering information and sharing that information to the real estate transaction.
Sarah works hard at anticipating changes in the market. When she detects a change, she tries to learn as much as she can about how to work with those changes by attending conferences and getting advanced education and certifications. Most recently, she has completed the coursework and earned the Certified Distressed Property Specialist (CDPE) designation to help homeowners through this market. This fall, she will finish the final course to earn NAR's GREEN designation. Sarah already has designations for working with buyers, with seniors, with people with an international or multicultural background, with historic homes, with the technologically savvy buyer or seller, among others.
Sarah works in the number one office of Long & Foster and is one of the trainers in that office. For fun, Sarah likes to travel and act.
